Cookies Policy
This page explains the cookies and browser storage that Case & Cork uses. For how we handle your personal data more generally, see our Privacy page.
What we always use
We use a small amount of storage that the site needs to work. It keeps track of the cases in your basket and remembers the cookie choice you make. At checkout, our payment provider Stripe sets its own cookies to help stop card fraud. None of this follows you around other websites, and it cannot be switched off, because the shop does not work without it.
Google Analytics, only if you accept it
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the shop is used: how many visits we get, which pages and wines people look at, and how far they get through checkout. This tells us which wines to stock and where the site needs work. Google Analytics only measures your visit after you choose Accept all in the cookie notice. When it does, it sets cookies that recognise your browser on your next visit, and Google receives the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and roughly where you are (by country, from an anonymised IP address).
If you choose Reject all, no Google Analytics cookies are set and your visits are not linked together. Google Analytics then runs in a restricted, cookieless mode that cannot recognise you.
Whatever you choose, we use no advertising cookies, make no session recordings and run no social media trackers.
Your choices
When you first visit the site, a notice offers three choices with equal weight. Accept all turns Google Analytics on. Reject all keeps it off. Customise lets you choose for yourself. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the site footer, which reopens the same choices with your current setting filled in.
Clearing storage
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. This empties your basket and resets your cookie choice, so the notice shows again on your next visit.
