Antonella Corda

Antonella Corda set up her own Sardinian winery in 2010. She is the granddaughter of the well-known grape grower Antonio Argiolas, and she studied for a master's in grape growing and winemaking at the Edmund Mach Foundation.

Antonio lived to 104 and left her two of his favourite vineyards around the village of Serdiana, just north of Cagliari. A mild climate, good water and rich limestone soils give the wines a lovely freshness. Antonella farms organically and mixes old family know-how with fresh ideas.

She makes a fragrant Vermentino with Mediterranean herbs, from her grandfather's favourite vineyard. There is also a light-touch, elegant Cannonau with soft tannins and a twist of white pepper.
