Beaulieu

Château Beaulieu is owned by the Guénant family and sits near Rognes, in Provence's Aix-en-Provence area. Vines have been farmed here since the Romans. The château itself dates from 1576, when it was built as a fortress for King Henry III.

The estate's 300 hectares of vines grow at 400 metres, inside an old volcanic crater with basalt and clay soils. Mediterranean sun ripens the grapes fully, and sea breezes soften the hot, dry Mistral wind from the north.

Their rosé blends Grenache, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The juice is pressed straight off the skins, as for a white wine, which gives a pale pink colour. Expect wild strawberry, redcurrant and white peach, with a fresh, crisp finish.
