Bernard Fleuriet et Fils

In 1991, Bernard Fleuriet began turning his family farm in the Loire into vineyards. Most of the vines are on steep slopes around Menetou-Râtel, inside the Sancerre appellation.

The vineyards cover all three of Sancerre's main soils: stony limestone, limestone clay and flint. That gives the family lots of different flavours to blend.

Bernard's sons now run the estate. Benoit looks after the vines and his brother Matthieu makes the wine. They care a lot about quality and the land: the estate was certified organic in 2016 and moved to biodynamic farming in 2022.
