Bodegas Roqueta

Bodegas Roqueta belongs to the Roqueta family, who have made wine in Bages, inland from Barcelona, since 1199. Their old farmhouse, Masia Roqueta, still holds presses, stone vats and barrels from more than 800 years of winemaking.

In 1898 Ramón Roqueta Torrentó moved the business to Manresa, the main town of Bages. People have grown vines in this part of Catalonia since Roman times, and the family has handed its love of wine down the generations.

Today the family group also takes in the Abadal, LaFou and Naveran wineries. The aim is to respect tradition while staying open to new ideas.
