Canevel
Canevel means 'small cellar' in the local dialect, a reminder of how small it was when wine merchant Mario Caramel founded it in 1979. Since then it has become one of the top names in Prosecco.
The aim has always been to show what the Glera grape can really do. Canevel is based in Conegliano Valdobbiadene, the historic heart of Prosecco, and its wines are fresh and fragrant with more complexity than most from the area. The easy-drinking DOC is a treat, but the DOCG wines, including a single-vineyard wine made with no added sugar, show their ambition best.
