Cantina Diomede

Cantina Diomede farms 200 hectares of organic vines near Canosa, in the north of Puglia. Dennis Verdecchia, the oenologist, works hard for healthy, top-quality grapes, and most of the work in the vineyard is done by hand.

The focus is Nero di Troia, a local red grape. Expect full-bodied reds with plenty of red fruit and good balance, and a richer version aged in large French oak barrels, with velvety tannins and a spicy finish.
