Cave de Cléebourg

Cave de Cléebourg is a co-operative cellar at the far northern tip of Alsace. It was set up in 1946 to save the vineyards of this corner of the region, about 80 km from the main part of the Alsace wine route.

It makes wine from around 200 hectares of vines in Cleebourg and four nearby villages: Rott, Steinseltz, Riedseltz and Oberhoffen-les-Wissembourg. It has counted about 170 growers. Some of the best plots are kept apart and made as wines from single named sites.
