Four Cesconi brothers run their family estate in Pressano, a village in Trentino. Their family used to sell all their grapes to the co-operative in nearby Lavis. Now the brothers make their own wine, and their whites are among the most exciting in northern Italy.

Compared with many Friuli whites, theirs are more intense and perfumed but never heavy, and their reds have more concentration. They have worked hard on Nosiola, a local Trentino grape, choosing better vines to make a zesty, aromatic summer white. The reds have come on a lot in recent years since they added Lagrein and Teroldego to the blends.
