Château Canon

Château Canon is a small family estate in Canon-Fronsac. Its vines face due south on the slopes of the hill that gives the place its name, looking down over the Dordogne.

It is run by Jean Galand, a pharmacist and oenologist based at La Malatie in Fronsac. He took charge of the family vineyard in 1999. He farms around 9 hectares in all, split between this estate and Château Galand, which makes Bordeaux Supérieur. The hill itself is clay and limestone.
