Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux

Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux is a Cru Bourgeois estate in Moulis-en-Médoc. It sits on the Grand Poujeaux plateau, right next door to Chasse-Spleen.

One family owned it from its founding in 1850 until 1967, when François Cordonnier bought it, and it has stayed with the Cordonniers ever since. His nephew Jean-Baptiste took over in 1993 and ran it with his wife Nathalie until 2016, building a new cellar along the way. His brother François now owns it, with Sebastien Olivar as day-to-day director.

The 30 hectares of vines grow on Garonne gravel and average about 30 years old. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon do most of the work, with some Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc too.
