Château Fleur de Lisse

Château Fleur de Lisse is in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, a village in Saint-Émilion. The Minvielle family owned it from 1940 until 2015, when the Teycheney family took over.

The Teycheneys care a lot about biodynamic farming, and the 8.7 hectares of vines are going through organic and biodynamic certification. Beehives and chickens now live among the vines. The vines average 45 years old and grow on a rocky outcrop of limestone-rich silt, where deep roots bring freshness.

Winemaker Nicolas Géré spent time in the Rhône with Jean-Louis Chave. He is all about purity and elegance, with Jean-Claude Berrouet as consultant. The wines are mostly Merlot, with a little Cabernet Franc, picked by hand.
