Château Larose Trintaudon

Château Larose Trintaudon's history goes back to 1719, though the first vines only came in 1838, planted by Henry Delaroze, the mayor of Saint-Laurent. Phylloxera and neglect later took their toll.

Professor Émile Peynaud saw what the place could be, bought it in 1963 and replanted. In 2018 the estate was classified Cru Bourgeois Supérieur. Today it has 190 hectares of vines, some next to Château Latour, on fine and sandy gravel over clay and limestone.

The vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, averaging 30 years old, and sustainability guides the work in vineyard and cellar alike. Expect a full-bodied, oak-aged red with blackberry, plum and a touch of spice.
