Château Moulin Haut-Laroque

Château Moulin Haut-Laroque is a Fronsac estate in the village of Saillans, about 500 metres from the church. It is one of the oldest properties in the area, and it was created by the Hervé family.

The family story starts with a Breton sailor who settled in Saillans in 1607. Jean-Noël Hervé has run the estate since 1977, and his son Thomas joined him in 2012. Brand new cellars arrived in 2000.

The 16 hectares sit on steep slopes of starfish limestone. Merlot makes up most of the blend, with both Cabernets and a little Malbec from vines around a century old.
