Château Vieux Coutelin

Château Vieux Coutelin lies in the Coutelin area of the Saint-Estèphe appellation in Bordeaux. The property took shape when land in Saint-Estèphe was regrouped in the 1970s.

Chris Cardon bought the château in 2015, and some of its plots are thought to have once been part of Lafon-Rochet. Eric Boissenot, who also advises Latour, Lafite, Mouton and Margaux, consults on the wines. The vineyard is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot and a little Petit Verdot. It was listed as a Cru Bourgeois in 2011.
