Constantia Uitsig

Constantia Uitsig is in Constantia, South Africa's oldest wine region, below Table Mountain and cooled by Atlantic breezes. The owners care a great deal about sustainability and conservation.

Their 17 hectares of vines grow on decomposed granite and sandstone, farmed organically with an eye on biodiversity. The new winery is a striking glass building. Head winemaker Estian de Wet loves Constantia and wants his wines to taste of the place. He mixes modern and traditional methods, and the focus is on fresh, pure fruit.
