Corte Giara

The Allegrini family started Corte Giara in 1989 to make modern, easy-going wines from the Veneto's classic grapes.

Grapes come from Allegrini's own vineyards plus a trusted group of local growers. No herbicides or pesticides are used, water use is watched, and the wine goes into lightweight glass with greener packaging.

The reds, covering Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone, come from hillside vineyards at 180 to 250 metres, where Corvina gives juicy, fresh fruit and soft tannins. There is a clean, lively Pinot Grigio from around Lake Garda too.
