Dalia
Dalia is the project of Serbian winemaker Kristina Lukić, founded in 2021 with Vinarija Raj in the Negotin Valley of eastern Serbia. The name comes from the Arabic for grapevine.
Kristina studied winemaking at the University of Udine and worked in Chile, California, New Zealand and around Europe before coming home. She has helped spark a revival of Serbian wine, especially among women winemakers. Most of her grapes come from Raj's organic nine-hectare vineyard on clay and limestone, near the borders with Bulgaria and Romania.
The vineyard grows everything from Riesling, Gamay and Merlot to local grapes like Prokupac and Tamjanika. In the cellar Kristina keeps things simple, with wild yeasts and very little sulphur.
