Dandelion Vineyards

Winemaker Elena Brooks runs Dandelion Vineyards with Zar, her husband. They make wine from old vineyards across South Australia, from the Barossa and Eden Valleys to the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu and McLaren Vale.

Elena grew up in Bulgaria, where her mother worked for a wine producer. As the only English speaker around, she was translating barrel tastings for visiting winemakers at 12, and made her first wine at 16. After studying and making wine around the world, she settled in McLaren Vale with Zar.

Expect Barossa Shiraz and Grenache, Eden Valley Riesling from vines planted over a century ago, and generous, fresh reds from McLaren Vale.
