Domaine Borgeot

Founded in 1903, Domaine Borgeot is based in Rémigny. Brothers Laurent and Pascal, the fourth generation of Borgeots, run it today. The wines show a bit of both: Pascal's calm restraint and Laurent's lively energy.

They farm 24 hectares sustainably, in Santenay, Bouzeron, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. The wines are fermented in a mix of steel vats and oak barrels, which adds depth but keeps the fresh fruit.

Oak is used with care: around 20 to 25 per cent new for the village wines and a third for the premier crus. Expect bright Chardonnay and supple Pinot Noir, with the oak nicely tucked in.
