Domaine de La Brossette

Domaine de La Brossette is a small, certified organic estate in Touraine, in the Loire, owned by the Delaunay family. They farm just three hectares, planted with Gamay and Cabernet Franc.

Winemaker Thierry Delaunay buys organic Sauvignon Blanc from a friend in the nearby Cher Valley to make a gently scented white. There is also a light, fresh rosé from Gamay and Cabernet Franc, which suits nibbles and salads.

The red is pure Gamay. Think crunchy red berries, a touch of white pepper, soft tannins and a bright finish.
