Domaine de la Gemière

Daniel and Josette Millet started Domaine de la Gemière in Sancerre in 1981. Their sons joined in 2000. Sébastien looks after the cellar and Nicholas the vineyards.

The winery stands on a little plot called La Gemière, and every parcel is made separately to keep the wines pure and full of character. Their 18 hectares of vines are in the villages of Crézancy and Bué.

Sébastien sums up their thinking neatly: in Sancerre, it is the land that makes the wine.
