Domaine du Grand-Mouton

Domaine du Grand Mouton is a Muscadet estate in Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine. Louis Métaireau made its name. Later, Jean-François Guilbaud and Marie-Luce Métaireau worked to gather up as many Grand Mouton plots as they could.

The vines sit in one single block of 23 hectares on slopes beside the Maine. The soil is mostly gneiss, with streaks of mica, garnet and amphibolite. The estate has since passed to Julien Rossignol.
