Domaine du Roc des Boutires

Domaine du Roc des Boutires sits in the heart of Pouilly-Fuissé, in southern Burgundy. Since 2016 its owners have been the Parinets, who also own Château du Moulin-à-Vent. They have breathed new life into a domaine that people used to pass by.

The name comes from two neighbours: the Aux Bouthières vineyard and the Roche de Solutré, the great limestone crag locals call the Sphinx of the Mâconnais.

There are five hectares of Chardonnay around Pouilly and nearby villages. Winemaker Brice Laffond makes each plot on its own, pressing whole bunches straight away. The wines range from bright, unoaked Mâcon to rich, mineral Pouilly-Fuissé.
