Domaine Figeat

Behind the Domaine Figeat winery in Pouilly-sur-Loire, an ancient Roman road crosses the vineyard. For generations the estate went from father to son. Then Anne-Sophie, André Figeat's daughter, gave up a good job as a chemist to join.

She has been head winemaker since 2020, working just over 16 hectares across Pouilly, the flinty soils of Saint-Andelain and the limestone slopes near Les Loges. The winery was recently rebuilt with modern kit, and cover crops help keep the vines in balance.

Her father liked rich, full-bodied wines. Anne-Sophie picks earlier for a more classic style, cool and mineral even in hot years.
