Domaine Jean-Pierre Bailly

Domaine Jean-Pierre Bailly sits in the heart of Pouilly-Fumé. Patrice Bailly took over from his father in 2000 and is the sixth generation to run it.

The family has 17 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc in some of the best spots in the appellation, spread over three villages including Pouilly-sur-Loire and Saint-Andelain. The vines are 10 to 40 years old, on the area's typical Kimmeridgian limestone. The wine is fermented in steel and rests on its lees for four months, giving a fragrant Pouilly-Fumé with peach, citrus and white flowers.
