Domaine Julien Braud

Julien Braud is a sixth-generation grower and part of a young crowd bringing new life to Muscadet. He learned the ropes at Fief aux Dames, the family estate, then in 2012 set up on his own, which he had long dreamed of doing.

He started with three hectares in the Monnières cru and now has 13, in many small plots with slightly different soils and climates. Julien and his wife Apolline farm them organically and spend most of their time out in the vines. Each wine is a little different, with a precise mineral edge and a strong sense of place.
