Domaine Rolet

Désiré Rolet founded Domaine Rolet in Arbois in 1942 and made its name by buying top plots of old vines in the Jura. Today it has over 65 hectares of Savagnin, Chardonnay, Trousseau, Poulsard and Pinot Noir.

A young team led by Cédric Ducoté has run it since 2018, mixing tradition with new ideas. Head viticulturist Louis Morel led the move to organic farming. Each steep plot is matched to the grape that suits it, light caterpillar tractors protect the soil, and every grape is picked by hand. Winemaker Chloé Weber makes balanced, mineral wines.

You will find fresh, Burgundian-style Chardonnay, nutty traditional Jura whites, crunchy red Trousseau, and Vin Jaune aged under flor for longer than the rules ask.
