Enrico Santini
Enrico Santini comes from an old family in Castagneto Carducci, in the Bolgheri area of Tuscany. He spent years working outside wine before coming home to make it, and put his savings into a winery of his own.
He planted his first vines around his house in 1998 and turned the garage and cellar into a place to make and age the wine. Today he farms 12 hectares in several plots in the Accattapane area.
He went organic from day one, and he was the first grower in Bolgheri to gain organic certification. The range is small: one white and three reds, all under the Bolgheri name.
