Yllera is a family wine business based in the town of Rueda, in Castilla y León. Brothers Jesús and Pepe Yllera set it up in the early 1970s. They were the fifth generation of a winegrowing family known locally as Los Curros.

The brothers were among the first to make Verdejo from Rueda in a modern style. In 1983 they launched a red, made with Ramón Martínez, their winemaker and business partner, and it went on to do very well.

Today the sixth generation of the family runs the winery, with a good team around them.
