Producer Beaujolais, France

Jane Eyre

Jane Eyre comes from Melbourne and fell for Burgundy on work experience at Domaine Chevrot back in 1998. She has run her own small négociant business there since 2011, buying grapes from fine vineyards across Burgundy and Beaujolais.

Winery at Cissey, Burgundy.

She trained at Charles Sturt University and worked at Cullen, Felton Road, Ata Rangi, Ernie Loosen in the Mosel, Domaine des Comtes Lafon and Domaine Newman. She now has her own cellar in Cissey, and she also runs the cellar at Domaine Comte Armand in Pommard. In 2021 the Revue des Vins de France made her its Négociant of the Year, the first woman and first non-French winner.

Since 2012 she has also made Australian Pinot Noir, so she splits her year between the hemispheres. Whatever she makes, she goes for perfume and delicacy over power.
