Jean-Claude Boisset
Jean-Claude Boisset is a négociant in Nuits-Saint-Georges, set up by the Boisset family in 1961. It now works from Les Ursulines, an old convent turned into a modern winery where the wine moves by gravity.
Winery at Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy.
Winemaker Grégory Patriat used to run the vineyards and assist in the cellar at Domaine Leroy. He buys grapes from across the Côte d'Or, knows his growers well and keeps an eye on their vines on his regular runs. He decides when each site is picked, and the estate's own team hand-picks around two thirds of the fruit.
Wild yeasts do the work for whites and reds alike, and Grégory keeps extraction gentle. He is a member of 'Les Aligoteurs' and gets just as excited about humble Aligoté as he does about Grand Cru.
