Justin Girardin

Justin Girardin is the thirteenth generation of his family to make wine, and he works from the hamlet of Santenay-le-Haut in Burgundy. His father Jacques is one of three Girardin brothers born there.

Justin trained in Beaune and did stints in Pomerol, Maury and as far away as Tasmania. He joined his parents, Jacques and Valérie, on the family domaine in 2013. It covers 17 hectares.

Straight after, he set up a merchant arm in his own name to fill out the range. In Santenay, some plots were planted on terraces in the mid-1980s because the slope is so steep.
