La Cavea
La Cavea wines are made at the Cantina Colli Vicentini, in northeast Italy. The name is a nod to the lovely Roman buildings of Vicenza.
Wine has a long history in the Vicenza hills. It was Napoleon who brought in Merlot, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero, early in the 1800s. The white blends Pinot Bianco with Garganega, and the red is an unusual mix of Merlot and Pinot Nero. There is a Prosecco too.
