Langmeil
For six generations the Lindner family have been steeped in the Barossa's way of farming, food and wine. Langmeil is a proper family-run winery. James Lindner looks after sales and marketing, and his brother Paul is the chief winemaker.
They take care over every detail, and the wines show the sure touch that comes from knowing the region inside out. Even the leftovers get used: grape skins are distilled, the seeds become grape seed oil and the stalks go on the compost.
The estate also has a Shiraz vineyard planted in 1843, thought to be the oldest one still going anywhere.
