Leonardo Bussoletti

Leonardo Bussoletti makes wine in the valley of Narni, in the south of Umbria. It is a remote, wild and sometimes harsh place, and some say it gave C.S. Lewis the idea for Narnia.

Leonardo was born in Umbria. He has a deep love of fine wine, Burgundy above all, and he wanted to make wines that do Umbria proud in the same way. So he works with old local grapes, Grechetto, Trebbiano Spoletino and Ciliegiolo, grown on chalky clay.

His vineyards are fully organic and very carefully tended. He cares about craft, character and looking after the land, and he wants wines with finesse that taste of where they come from.
