Lothian Vineyards

Lothian Vineyards sits in the cool, mountainous Elgin Valley in South Africa. It used to be a protea farm. Gavin and Ewen Wilson own it, and their family has made wine in the Cape for three generations.

In the 1950s and 60s they grew up on Rust-en-Vrede, their grandmother's vineyard. The family came from Scotland, and with its morning mist, green hills and water framed by tall peaks, Elgin can look a lot like home.

The focus is Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, made with finesse to reflect this special landscape. They work with winemaker Richard Kershaw MW on a range of single-vineyard wines.
