Luis Seabra

Luis Seabra set up his own winery in Portugal in 2012. Before that he was Dirk Niepoort's right-hand man, helping make some of the most exciting wines in the Douro.

He makes very little wine, just 5,000 or so bottles of each top wine every year, and he steps in as little as possible in the cellar. The wines are pure but layered, more savoury than fruity, with a dense feel and long, almost salty finishes.
