Maison Saint Aix

Maison Saint Aix was founded in 2009 by Dutch businessman Eric Kurver, who had always dreamed of making top rosé. He and his family have since made it one of the leading names in Provence.

The estate sits about 30 kilometres north of the city of Aix, behind the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, at 500 metres. That is the highest point of the appellation. Height, the cool Mistral and big swings between day and night keep the wines fresh. The 75 hectares are in one block, on limestone soils, and farmed along biodynamic lines.

Winemaker Nicolas Quiles joined in 2022 and also buys grapes from local growers on long-term contracts. The rosé blends Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, and there is a crisp white from Rolle and Sauvignon Blanc.
