Marchiori & Barraud

Marchiori & Barraud has its home in Luján de Cuyo, just outside Mendoza. It belongs to Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud, who are partners in life as well as in wine.

The pair are well known in Argentina for founding Viña Cobos with Californian winemaker Paul Hobbs. In the early 2000s Cobos helped show the world what Argentine fine wine could do. Winemaker Noelia Torres learned her trade there too, and in 2020 she came back to work with Andrea and Luis as a partner.

They want their wines to show off Mendoza's many different sites. They have vineyards in Agrelo and Perdriel, and long-term contracts in Gualtallary, high up in the Uco Valley.
