Massolino

Massolino is a 55-hectare estate in Serralunga d'Alba, in Barolo, and the Massolino family have owned it since 1896. Serralunga is known for some of the most powerful, long-lived Barolos of all.

Winemaker Franco Massolino has done a great job of keeping tradition while making careful changes. Some of the vines are up to 60 years old. They also make a Langhe Nebbiolo from vineyards inside the Barolo zone, and a bright, fruity Dolcetto d'Alba.

In 2019 the family finally made the move into Barbaresco. They now rent and look after plots in the village of Neive, on marly, chalky soils, which give fine, floral wines with red fruit.
