Matetic Vineyards

Matetic Vineyards is a biodynamic estate in El Rosario, a coastal valley in San Antonio, Chile. The Matetic family founded it in 1999.

The family first came to Chilean Patagonia from Croatia in 1892 and did well as farmers. It was the fourth generation who turned to grapes. They believed in the climate and soils of this coastal valley, planted 120 hectares, and now farm 160 hectares biodynamically.

The wines run from bright, fruity bottles that show off this coastal spot to elegant, layered wines built to age. The top Syrah is made from the estate's oldest vines.
