Mura Mura

Mura Mura is a Piedmont wine estate from Guido Martinetti and Federico Grom, the pair who founded the Grom gelato business. The name means 'enjoy life slowly' in Malagasy.

Guido studied agriculture and planned to join his father in wine. Instead, in 2002, an article by Slow Food founder Carlo Petrini, saying ice cream was not made the way it used to be, inspired the two friends to open a gelateria in Turin. It took off because they used the very best ingredients. They sold Grom in 2015 and moved into wine.

They bring the same care for raw materials to their vines, with 10 hectares in Costigliole d'Asti, 3.5 in Barbaresco and 1.5 in Serralunga d'Alba. They grow only Piemontese grapes, including Grignolino and Timorasso alongside their Barbaresco.
