Pala

Pala is a family estate in Sardinia, set up by Salvatore Pala in 1950. From 1995 his son Mario brought the winery and vineyards right up to date, and Pala became a modern benchmark for Sardinian wine.

Sardinia's grapes reflect where it sits. Like Corsica, Provence and western Italy, it grows Vermentino, and owes a lot to Spain for Cannonau, the local name for Garnacha, and Carignano. Pala's wines show off that mix, with a clean, modern feel and real Sardinian character.
