Ponte Pietra

Ponte Pietra wines are made by Matt Thomson of Blank Canvas at the Cantina di Monteforte, in the Veneto. The name comes from Verona's Roman stone bridge over the Adige.

These are fruity, easy-going wines. The white is fresh and lively, the red is unoaked with cherry notes, and the rosé gets its pale pink from a short time on the skins. Very good value, too.
