Rizzi
Rizzi takes its name from a hill in Treiso, one of Barbaresco's three villages. In 1974 Ernesto Dellapiana left business life in Turin and came back here to farm his family's old estate.
The vineyards have since grown to 44 hectares, including three in the Pajorè cru, and Ernesto's children Enrico and Jole now run the business. The cellar is simple: concrete tanks for fermenting and big oak casks for ageing. The style is traditional with a modern touch, full yet delicate, and always with that lovely floral scent Barbaresco is known for.
