Serena 1881

Vinicola Serena, in the Veneto, has been making wine for more than 140 years and is now in the hands of brothers Luca and Giorgio Serena, the fifth generation.

The family's roots go back much further. In 1390 the Serenas were listed among the Venetian nobility, and later they became big names in glass-making. For the company's 140th birthday, students at the Venetian Fine Arts Academy were asked to design a bottle. The winner shows the founding year and a spiral of five lines, one for each generation, linked by their shared history.
