Sevilen

Sevilen was founded in 1942 by Isa Güner, a Bulgarian immigrant who believed Turkey could make really good wine. He bought four hectares near Izmir, planted vines and called his new business Sevilen, which means "beloved".

His sons Gökhan and Coşkun joined in 1958 and grew the vineyards to 50 hectares. Today the Güners' grandchildren run things, with 160 hectares of vines and big ambitions. Sevilen is now one of the most important names in quality Turkish wine.
