Tardieu-Laurent is a Rhône négociant run by Michel Tardieu and his son Bastien, a trained oenologist. They choose wines by the quality of the vineyard and buy them just after fermentation, then do the blending and ageing themselves.

Showing the place and the year honestly is central to how they think, so they step in as little as possible. To get the best raw material, they build long, fair partnerships with growers who own good plots of mostly old vines. The results are top-class wines with a big international following.
