Tasca

The noble Tasca family have owned Regaleali, a big estate high in the hills of central Sicily, since 1830. They have always run it with one eye on quality and the other on trying new things.

Their wide range comes from the ideas that worked: short pruning for lower yields, backing the local Inzolia and Nero d'Avola grapes, bringing in French varieties, and using temperature control and barriques. They have also planted beyond Regaleali, with sweet passito Malvasia on the island of Salina and their Tascante estate on the north slopes of Mount Etna.

Each place comes through clearly in the glass. In 2017 Tasca was named the Drinks Business Green Company of the Year.
